I love books, so much, you have no idea.
Books are my life.
So I made a page, just for books.
Woot.

Books I've read {2014}

City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments #1)
This. Book. Where even to begin? I don't even know, you tell me, I just can't even. I've heard many people say that it took them a long time to get into this book, that was not the case for me. After hearing much about this book, I was ready to be extremely interested, I was captivated by the first page. The entire world in this book was SO great, the characters were phenomenal, and THE ENDING. Don't. Even. Get. Me. Started. gah. Kill me now. I NEED the next books.

Purple Moon - Tessa Emily Hall
I have mixed feelings about this book. While I enjoyed it, I'm glad to have read it, and the message was great, it was... I don't even know. This is a Christian novel by a very young (19 years old) author, when I say this book was Christian, I mean it. I went into this book expecting a fairly lighthearted, fun, contemporary romance book because that's what you get when you read the summary. May I say right now that the summary didn't give me ANY idea of what would be inside this book. Like I said, I enjoyed this book and I'm glad to have read it, but I have mixed emotions, I think I'll be posting a review-ish soon.

Maze Runner (Maze Runner #1) - James Dashner
I've wanted to read this book for months, but I have definitely heard mixed reviews, I've heard it's GREAT, I've heard it's BAD. I went into it really not expecting to be amazed, and was pleasantly surprised... About 100 pages into the book that is. It took me a long time to get into it, but I DEFINITELY enjoyed it once I did. I must say, I wish there was romance, it has to be there, doesn't it? Isn't that just required for YA fiction? Haha. Anyway, otherwise, the ending was a little... Off, but I will most likely be reading the next books.

(Kinda sorta currently reading) Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen
I've seen/read all the spin-offs, and thoroughly enjoyed them, and thought it was about time I ACTUALLY read the classic. It may be an in-between book for me, since I forgot how long classics are, a filler of sorts, but I will finish it. Eventually. I will. I promise.

City of Ashes & City of Glass - Cassandra Clare
Ahhh I just can't. These books are incredible, the writing is amazing, and the plot-twists.... are every two pages XD They're the kind of books that SERIOUSLY keep you on your toes and keep you from ever putting it down. Can I have the next one now pleeeeeease????
*These books ARE, on the other hand, NOT Christian, they are spiritually off and I have to keep my guard up while reading them, but I knew that going into the series*

Eleanor & Park - Rainbow Rowell
This book was.... No words. None at all. It was amazing, I wish someone had warned me about the cursing, so I will do so for you now, it's intense. You can't go two pages without being bombarded with profanity. That was my ONE huge con to this book, but the list of pros is very, very long. I enjoyed it muchly, just kept it out of reach of my younger siblings.
I mean seriously, how can you not love it when... PARK <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

George Muller, Guardian of Bristol's Orphans & Lottie Moon, Giving Her All for China
-Janet & Geoff Benge
As an aspiring young missionary myself, I read & LOVED both of these books. They are inspiring & encouraging & challenging all at the same time. I look forward to reading more of the Benge's series of books.

Cindy Ella - Robin Palmer
I picked this up at a discount book store during a reading slump because I knew it would be light and fluffy, but enough to get me wanting to read again. It was just that, fluffy and predictable, but just what I wanted. I spent nearly the whole book trying to keep from cracking up laughing, because it was ridiculously silly and odd, but still satisfying and enjoyable.

No Longer a Slumdog - K.P. Yohannan
A book full of stories and faces of children and families suffering in India. Challenging and inspiring, and nearly brought me to tears because of the circumstances these people live in.
*You can get this book for free at www.gfa.org on Kindle or in paperback*

Snow Angel - Suzanne Weyn
It's a children's book I've had for years and never given a second glance, but I read one day out of boredom and interest, I also read it IN one afternoon, but I did enjoy it.

The Elite (The Selection #2) - Kiera Cass
My Goodreads review basically sums it up:
"Oh don't mind me just crying over Maxon's perfection and wanting to slap Aspen and slightly annoyed with America and can't contain emotions right now I need serious help WHEN DOES THE ONE COME OUT."

    1. Awesome!! Thanks for the input!!! Haha, well I'll have to see about those :) I know The Mortal Instruments will be... not aligned with what I believe, and I don't expect it to be, it's not like it'll effect my beliefs, Percy Jackson doesn't. Ohmiword, the Gallagher Girls books are fantastic!!!! The first one is a little cheesy, mostly just a fun read, but the other ones are AWESOME.

    2. Hahha no problem :P Yeah... I guess so. But at the same time, Percy Jackson isn't about 'half angels' who go and hunt demons with vampires and werewolf's :P But I see what you're saying. Haha Ooooh gosh I soooo need to read them!! Now to save up enough money to buy them :P Haha And Beautiful Creatures?? xx
